A recent CDC study found that half of American teens report feeling sad or hopeless every day for two weeks or more. The School Psychology program at Gallaudet works to determine how best to accommodate psychology and mental health services in our training so that school children get the services and support they need to achieve their academic goals. If you’re being called to make a difference in the lives of young people, our Psy.D. program may be your perfect fit!

Video Description/Transcript: A man is shown with the name Dr. Robert Whitaker, Associate Professor, Psy.D. in School Psychology, captioned in front of him.
He signs in ASL, "Gallaudet University's school psychology program is unique because it is the only program in the world that specializes in working with deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Our program is designed for full access to different classes, concepts, and research related to school psychology, so not only do hearing graduate students come into the program, deaf students come into the program as well. We specialize in working with deaf families, teachers, and students. Many of them have different, unique experiences that make access to education challenging. The school psychology program at Gallaudet works to figure out how best to accommodate psychology and mental health services so that our students get the services and support they need to succeed academically."
The video closes with the title "PSY.D. IN SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGY" and the website link gu.live/gradpsyd
