Transcript: I'm from New York City, the city full of different cultures, languages, communities, friends, family, and of course, amazing food. That's why coming here to DC felt like a home away from home here at Gallaudet.

My major is in deaf studies, where I have access to published faculty work whose work is still relevant in the field today. My major has helped me connect with my culture, identity, and history. 97% of people who graduate from Gallaudet either start work or attend graduate school.

In my internship, I met key people, such as alumni and role models, who have helped me prepare me to become the next leader like they were for their time.
