#2 Christian Vogler and Greg Hlibok honored for achievements in accessibility
Recently, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) presented four Chairman’s Awards for Advancement in Accessibility. The honorees included Dr. Christian Vogler, Director of Gallaudet’s Technology Access Program (TAP). And Greg Hlibok, a member of the Deaf President Now DPN4, and current Gallaudet board member. Handwaves!

#3 Deaf mentors serve as role models in science internship program
Did you know? Gallaudet partners with the University of Pittsburgh to offer internship programs for students interested in data science, biology, and medicine. The Accessible and Inclusive Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (AIBIDS) program recently completed its third year! More Deaf scientists, yes!

Gallaudet, RIT, and Cornell host an annual ten-week program focusing on accessible technology. This year, five student interns conducted fascinating research projects focused on AI accessibility. The future will be accessible!
