#1 Forbes Accessibility 100 recognizes Melissa Malzkuhn and Christian Vogler

The first-ever Accessibility 100 from Forbes includes two Gallaudet representatives! Congratulations to Melissa Malzkuhn, ’04 & G-’08, Director of Motion Light Lab, and Dr. Christian Vogler, Director of the Technology Access Program!

#2 Family Learning Vacation returns to Gallaudet after 30 years

In June, we hosted 18 families with deaf and hard of hearing children, building their connection and improving their sign language skills. The families experienced lots of fun activities and bonding exercises, with the help of many experts from Gallaudet.

#3 From campus to curtain: Gallaudet students intern with A Strange Loop

This summer, a trio of Theatre majors are learning on the job as interns for a local Deaf arts organization. Courtney Bronson, one of the interns, wrote about their experience with the groundbreaking musical.

#4 London adventures introduce students to human-centered design

Gallaudet is promoting inclusive design around the world! Richard Dougherty, Executive Director of Architecture and Facilities, recently led a group of students on a tour of London. Together, they explored the concept of human-centered design in the United Kingdom.

#5 GenCyber youth camp teaches teens about cybersecurity

Gallaudet is building the next generation of tech experts! We recently hosted a youth camp for deaf and hard of hearing teens. The students learned about cybersecurity, cryptography, and coding.
