#2 Graduate Student Speaker Lu Ming reflects on incredible journey

Lu Ming, G-’25, arrived at Gallaudet knowing no sign language. Three years later, she stood on stage as the Graduate Student Speaker for the Class of 2025, sharing how she grew as a Deaf person and student during her time at Gallaudet.

Aubrie Bauer, ’25, captivated the audience as the Undergraduate Student Speaker for the Class of 2025. She reflected on her journey during the past four years, summing up what she learned as a Debate Team champion: the power of good conversation, good arguments, and good criticism.

#4 Deaf Studies pioneers deliver keynote addresses

Esteemed Deaf Studies researchers Dr. Carol Padden and Dr. Tom Humphries, ’68 & G-’72, each gave a keynote address during the Commencement 2025 event. They encouraged the Class of 2025 to give back to Gallaudet and embrace public service.
