Meet Estelina Kovacs, one of our graduating seniors from the Class of 2025!
When she walks across the stage tomorrow, she'll receive a remarkable three bachelors degrees: Government, Spanish, and International Studies. She made lifelong connections during her time on campus and now she's ready to give back to the Deaf community worldwide!
Her next stop? Interning with the World Wildlife Fund + starting grad school in International Development at Gallaudet!
Let’s give it up for Estelina. She's unstoppable, passionate, and ready to change the world!
Video Description: Estelina Kovacs stands outside on a sunny day, with trees in the background. They have wavy, brown hair past their shoulders and a nose ring in their right nostril. They wear a blue sweatshirt that reads, “Gallaudet Bison”. A lower third reads, “Estelina Kovacs / Government / Spanish & International Studies / Frederick, MD”.
Transcript: What I’m most proud of the past four years is that I never gave up. I kept going, even when it felt hard, like I can't make it. It felt like too much schoolwork. It was overwhelming, but I was stubborn. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel kept me going for four years.
I got involved with as much as I could and hung out with friends. Committed to school and finished my schoolwork. Kept going until I made it to now. I’m really proud of that.
I met so many people. Made a lot of connections. I really cherish and I’m proud of my four years here at Gallaudet.
After graduating, I plan to intern with the World Wildlife Fund as a Government Policy Analyst. And I’ll be attending graduate school here at Gallaudet in the International Development Master’s program. I’m excited!
