Even though many cultures, religions, and communities have developed rituals for grieving the deaths of our loved ones, grieving often isn’t something we instinctively know how to navigate. Some families may communicate openly about grief, while others may cope by brushing it aside and moving on.

Emotions, however, can linger beneath the surface for years until something triggers them, and grief comes pouring out. Peter, who experienced multiple losses on major holidays, recounts his experience in dealing with grief.

If you are struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one, please know that you can reach out for counseling support. #delayed grief #suppressed grief
