Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD) can look very different in different people. Some people with NPD show grandiosity (over-inflated sense of self-importannce), while others hate themselves. Some are extroverts, others are introverts. Some hold high-level jobs, while others are unable to maintain employment for any length of time. Because of the variety of symtpoms, accurate statistics on the number of poeple who have actual NPD are elusive. Research findings usually cite 0.5% of the population, but estimates for narcissistic traits can be as high as 20% of the military population. Anne Marie discusses her experience in the workplace with people with NPD, or narcissistic traits. She also shares some valuable tip on dealing with someone with narcissism.
