SDA Two-Law Teaching

This picture shows two different ways to understand the Law of Moses. SDA teaches that the Law is divided into two parts: the Moral Law (Ten Commandments) that lasts forever, and the Ceremonial Law that ended at Jesus’ death. They believe the Sabbath is part of the Ten Commandments, so it is still required today. Jehovah’s Witnesses teach that the Law of Moses was one whole covenant. When Jesus fulfilled it, that covenant ended. Christians are now under “the law of the Christ” (Galatians 6:2). Moral principles continue, but not as the Sinai legal code. The difference is not about morality. It is about whether the old covenant was divided — or completely fulfilled and replaced.
