When my baby daughter Haley was between 8 and 16 years old, I sewed a blanket from 9 jerseys. During that time, she played softball and basketball on traveling teams. Now a senior at Towson University, Haley was overjoyed to see the blanket. My dad and I made a sewing drawer. I thanked my mother for teaching me how to sew throughout my childhood.
