Transcript
Many members of the Deaf community are understandably discouraged. For years, our concerns have been minimized, dismissed, or ignored, and that history has created real fatigue and skepticism. I want to acknowledge that experience with respect. Your frustration is valid.
However, we cannot allow KG and PKZ to benefit from our silence.
Their actions have caused significant harm. Their pattern has been to divide the community, suppress accountability, and convince people that speaking up will not lead to change. If we withdraw, if we stop advocating, then they achieve exactly what they intended.
We cannot permit that outcome.
The Deaf community has a long and powerful history of collective advocacy. From Deaf President Now to the establishment of interpreter standards and access protections, we have repeatedly demonstrated that when we stand together, we create meaningful change.
This petition is one component of a broader, strategic effort. It is supported by clear demands, documented evidence, and a growing base of community support. We are organizing, gathering information, and preparing the next steps.
Once the petition reaches 1,000 signatures, I will move immediately into the next phase of action: contacting officials, engaging media outlets, and submitting our evidence to the appropriate authorities. The signatures will serve as a visible demonstration of community support and will strengthen every communication we make.
At this time, the petition is temporarily on hold while our team is being established. Once the team is fully formed, the petition will reopen and the advocacy work will resume. When that happens, I invite you to stand with us. Add your name. Share the message. Help us protect our community.
We deserve safety. We deserve accountability. We deserve respect.
When the petition reopens, join us. Support the effort. Together, we can ensure our community is protected and heard.
