NASA plans to send four astronauts to the moon this February. However, they won’t land on the moon and walk around on it. They will only go around the moon and then come back to Earth. This would be a part of NASA’s Artemis 2 program, which aims to have astronauts go to the moon and in 2027, actually land on it and build a lunar settlement. Why? If all goes well, they could launch from there to Mars. That’s the ultimate goal. NASA is preparing to use a large rocket called the Space Launch System (SLS). The four astronauts are making preparations. The launch will take place at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. So, that’s something to look forward to in February. It’ll be an exciting launch and we’ll see what the moon looks like now!
