President Trump showed an image of the captured Venezuelan leader Maduro blindfolded and detained on a US military ship, the USS Iwo Jima. He is headed to a court in New York, where he will face charges of colluding with drug trafficking gangs. Trump said the US would run the country for the time being. Machado, the Venezuelan woman who won the Nobel Peace Prize for fighting against Maduro's administration, endorsed Trump's actions. Trump explained that a CIA covert team was spying and tracking Maduro's actions since the summer and that's how they easily captured him. Trump appeared to have done all this without Congress' involvement, so we'll see how Congress responds.
