[NARRATOR]
Every day, Deaf, hard of hearing, and DeafBlind individuals are left behind. Our Advocacy Program fights for equal access in healthcare, education, and daily life—so no one is ever left behind. Advocacy is more than speaking up—it’s breaking barriers.

[Testimony from a DEAF, Inc. Client] We at SSD really value DEAF, Inc. as a resource to reach out to. For example, community advocate, Devon, he came to teach high school students a safe way to interact with law enforcement. I can see the instant connection students have with Devon as a Deaf adult and BIPOC. That’s a powerful impact there.

[DEVON] At DEAF, Inc., we fight for communication access— ensuring ASL interpreters, captioning/CART, or DeafBlind support services are in place. We represent Deaf, hard of hearing, and DeafBlind Missourians on local and statewide boards, commissions to advise entities, and ensure accessibility. We educate providers, explain rights, and empower clients.

[Video Description] A DeafBlind female is speaking in a microphone with an SSP standing behind her. A black male is presenting.

[NARRATOR] Every Gift of Growth enables us to influence policies, open every door, and creates a world where communication is a right, not a privilege.
