2 Nephi 3:17 is misunderstood when people move the promise away from Israel and make it about a new prophet in Missouri, USA. The verse talks like Moses’ work for Israel, but HRM stretches it to an American “Moses-type” leader with a new book, which goes beyond what the text itself actually says.
