As a bilingual family, not every day is easy. Just the other night at dinner, my daughter was upset that I wasn’t using my voice. She understands ASL, but English feels more natural to her at times. I know this isn’t unique to ASL families and that many bilingual families experience this too. Every day we keep learning how to meet in the middle, to listen, and to love in both languages. 💛
