DAILY MOTH: I just saw the US Open Women’s Final’s pregame ceremony. There was a performance of “America the Beautiful” and there was a Deaf signer, Rosa Lee Timm. It’s nice to see that there was an in-frame PIP screen dedicated to the ASL performer. The broadcaster is ESPN. So, kudos to ESPN for thinking of Deaf people and making sure there is a PIP screen. This Sunday, there will be a similar pregame ceremony for the men’s final. Zavier Sabio will be signing.
