You can’t accuse JW ASL of ignoring word-for-word when you do the same. The Greek in Hebrews 8 says ‘new’ and ‘better,’ not ‘renewed.’ The New Testament has words for ‘renew,’ but they’re never used for the covenant. If you insert ‘renewed,’ you’ve left word-for-word and gone to thought-for-thought to fit your belief.
