Various levels of truth are spoken either in plainness or through allusion, depending on the spiritual level of the intended audience. We find multiple layers of truth in the scriptures just as in Christ’s parables, and our eternal progression is the result of our obedience to personal revelation made known to us through the Light of Christ as we receive truth. If we neglect to obey God’s commandments, especially those personal revelations, we will not receive the fulness of truth. God provides differing levels of truth to the earth at various times to satisfy His plan for His children. Accordingly, a terrestrial or celestial truth will not always support telestial doctrines because of the independent sphere in which God has placed that truth. The truths of differing levels may seem contradictory until God reveals the mystery of His higher truths.
