Well, with ASL being one of our home languages, it’s just like any other child learning the language spoken at home — through daily use and exposure.

We sign every day, naturally and consistently.

But even if ASL isn’t your home language, you can still teach your children. Learn alongside them. Sign as you go. Use what you know, and build from there.

Language is connection — and it’s never too early (or too late) to start.
