I’m so grateful to everyone who showed up! The event about the deaf village in Virginia—along with other shared deaf history stories—was a smashing success.
I sincerely apologize to those who couldn’t get in once the parking lot and room reached full capacity. Due to the overwhelming interest, we may host this event again in a larger space next time!
Special thanks to ASL interpreters Weston and Matt from Civic Access, the staff at Historic Blenheim Civil War Interpretive Center, and the team and volunteers from the Northern Virginia Resource Center for making this event possible.
