Many professing Christians have had difficulty accepting the truth that obeying the food laws and other laws does NOT make us holy. They misread the Old Testament as declaring that certain foods are in themselves ETERNALLY unclean, but they are not. The only way for us to be saved and be holy is having faith alone in Jesus alone.
