CHANEL: We have exciting updates for the Youth Ambassador Program (YAP). We have two big updates: 1) the role of the Youth Ambassador and 2) the competition rounds. Our Youth Ambassador, the winner of YAP, commits with high expectations and responsibilities: volunteering numerous hours, sending video updates, and more.

However, we’ve decided to switch things up -- we are not continuing our two year commitment requirement. This means the winner (and moving forward) will win $6,000 with no additional commitments to the NAD. This update will allow us to focus on the winner’s networking opportunities, which includes attending to the Jr. NAD National Conference, Youth Leadership Camp, and any other possible opportunities that apply to their platform.

Round 3 remains the same - Hot Seat Interview and Observation, which means a private interview and a secret judge will observe you during the NAD Conference.

Round 4 - Pitch and Network. During the final competition night, there will be a networking event to meet secret judges, potential investors, community members, and more! This is where you’ll pitch your platform with the hopes of being selected to the top three. The top three, with the overall top scores from the judges, will enter Round 5.
