One of the first 5 Deaf boys who attended the first Deaf residential School in America lived here.

His name is George Richard Lee Turberville II and is the Deaf grandson of Richard Henry Lee, one of the Declaration of Independence Signers.

Private Property is in Chantilly, Virginia called “Leeton.” Turberville’s burial grounds are on this property, too.

Video will be captioned soon. #ASL raw unedited short video with Kathleen L. Brockway visiting the property with her distant Deaf cousin, Paula. The Deaf Bollings are our ancestors. George was William Albert Bolling’s best friend.
