Chris Haulmark​ makes a healthcare decision for his personal health issue.

Hello.

I am Chris Haulmark, running for Kansas's Third Congressional District.

Here I am in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico which is across the border from Laredo, Texas.

Here is a sign for one of the many dentists offices here ust a short shopper's walk away from each other.

Faced with the three healthcare insurance options in Kansas's Third District, I felt I had no choice.

The first option of Medicare does not cover dental treatment.

Private healthcare insurance plans are prohibitively expensive.

Privately negotiating treatment prices with dental providers in America is extremely difficult.

The second option at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry reduced-cost public health clinic was still prohibitively expensive and my patient treatment choices were unacceptable!

Third option of uninsured self-payment had me coming to Mexico and shop for treatment.

Two root canal treatments cost less than $400!

Even adding transit cost to the border, the amount spent is still impressively low.

This means America's broken healthcare system must be improved for all of us Kansans and Americans.

THIS is why I am running for Congress- to change all of that!
