Region III Representatives Jerry and Holly share an update!

HOLLY: Hi, Iâ€™m Holly Ketchum, from Arkansas.

JERRY: Hi, Iâ€™m Jerry Nelson, from Florida. We both represent Region III.

HOLLY: Weâ€™re in Washington, D.C. and the NAD Headquarters in Silver Spring, Maryland. Remember the top five priorities were voted on in Phoenix during the Biennial NAD Conference? We discussed those five priorities during this meeting. Weâ€™re excited to see the next two years unfold.

JERRY: We also want to take a moment to recognize some unfortunate situations that have happened in our region recently including (but not limited to) the flooding in Louisiana, Hurricane Matthew, police shooting in North Carolina, and so on. We are aware that some deaf people have been affected by these incidents. The NAD is working with different groups involved to help deaf and hard of hearing people recover. If you need some help, please contact us. We will do our best to connect you with the right person or group.

HOLLY: Moving forward, we hope you will participate in the monthly meetings as they provide an opportunity to discuss any issues you have in your state. We can help each other in Region III.

JERRY: We look forward to working with you as always.
