Is Facebook a part of your daily work routine? This might be more efficient than you think. A group of researchers from China have proven that “Facebook while working” is beneficial, leading to cope with the daily office stress.

Currently, have you been in a job that makes you unhappy? The research team suggests that “Facebook therapy” may help these daily woes. They recommend in moderation, people that use Facebook at work become more creative, and give workers an outlet if they are stressed on the job. The team warns though that too much social media usage leads to unproductivity, which may show that you may feel “alienated” from your job. Jhony Ng, a professor at Nanjing University, suggests that even though social media use may be helpful in the workplace, Facebook usage at work should not affect job performance. In a recent Twitter poll, over 2,000 users said that they use social sites to cope with their job on a daily basis.

Other countries, such as India, have launched the idea of using Facebook at work as a tool to link social media, and create new ways for co-workers to collaborate effectively and be more productive. Who knows?

Maybe you could receive an e-mail at work tomorrow from your boss, encouraging you to go on Facebook more often. Wouldn’t that be neat?
