Acts 9–11 shows how Jehovah progressively guided Peter away from the Mosaic Law arrangement and into the Christian arrangement led by holy spirit. Peter travels freely, stays with a tanner, receives a vision removing food distinctions, enters Gentile homes, eats with them, and defends his actions—not by appealing to Moses’ Law, but by pointing to Jehovah’s direction and the outpouring of holy spirit. The account proves that the Law had ended and that God was now accepting Gentiles without circumcision, food restrictions, or Jewish separation. Peter’s role was not to enforce the Law, but to follow God’s spirit step by step.
