We really enjoyed at there that I was conference by Benro Ogunyipe, Conference Chair cordially invite me to serve on the panel tentatively entitled Black Deaf People in Criminal Justice or Access to Justice in Black Deaf Community. The panel will include Two attorneys who have been working to defend Deaf inmates. Two interpreters who have been advocating diligently to fight for Deaf persons of colors rights to access effective communication in the prison and justice system. And finally I had the one to share my experience as a former Deaf inmate to fight for access to interpreter, video phone, so on.
