Chad A. Ludwig, OAD president provides an update for the week

Oregon School for the Deaf hosts Western State Deaf Basketball tourney at their school, there are other state school for the deaf will be here to participate in this event. For more information, please check OSD facebook page.

OAD board met last weekend, we conferred and agrees to cover partial of Philip Wolfe's airfare ticket to Deaf Grassroot Movement (DGM) national meeting in Washington, D.C. on March 23rd. Philip is one of three national representatives. During this time, DGM is partnering with National Association of the Deaf on training, workshop, etc.

I wanted to highlight on three deaf owned businesses here in Oregon as there may be others that I missed. Mark Long and Linnea Landberg - both deaf - owns Clackamas River Growler in Estacada.

Tim Baker owns Tim Baker's Lawn Care in Beaverton and he has numerous of people working with him in his company.

Stacey Chin, hairstylist and owns a salon at Brookdale Chestnut Lane in Gresham.
