his idea you are mentioning comes directly from Hebrews 10:28-29, and let’s take a careful look at this passage: Hebrews 10:28–29 (NASB) Anyone who has ignored the Law of Moses is put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severe punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled underfoot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? ➡️ Three charges are mentioned here: Trampling underfoot the Son of God → To reject the fullness and sufficiency of Christ is to treat Him as nothing special or no better than Moses or the Old Covenant sacrifices. Regarded the blood of the covenant as defiled (unclean / common) → To say the blood of Christ is not enough, and to require Mosaic ordinances (Torah observance) defiles His precious blood. → It makes it "common" or insufficient, as though it is not holy or effective unless human works are added. Insulted the Spirit of grace → The Holy Spirit testifies to the sufficiency of Christ’s sacrifice (Hebrews 10:15-18). → To reject that testimony and turn to Torah observance INSULTS the Spirit, implying GRACE is not enough.
