What Sha’ul is saying in Colossians 2:13-14 is that while we were being held captive to the Death Decrees, and lost among the Gentiles, Yahuah made us alive together with Yahusha by canceling out the Death Decrees in The Law (that amounted to a ‘certificate of debt’ that demanded out death). Yahuah (as Promised in Zechariah Chapter 3) Fulfilled His Promise to Yahusha to “forgive the sins of the land in one day”, and Yahuah has taken the ‘certificate of debt’ we owed Him out of the way, nailing it to the stake with Yahusha. As a result, we now we live in comfort (the ‘Spirit of comfort’ not fear... “the comforter”) and we obey out of love, not the ‘fear of death.
