VIDEO DESCRIPTION AND TRANSCRIPT: Melissa Draganac-Hawk stands in front of an off-white wall with a piece of black outlined artwork. A small white NAD logo appears on bottom right corner.

MELISSA: Hi! I'm Melissa. I have four things I'd like to talk about today. First, I'd like to talk about the five top priorities. Last summer, during the Council of Representatives (COR), the delegates selected the five top priorities. For each priority, there is an explanation and rationale. We have an ASL version for all five priorities -- these will be available on the website. Second, the NAD Conference in 2020 will be in Region II -- the Board discussed and decided it will be in... Chicago, Illinois! Don't forget, the NAD Conference in 2018 will be in Hartford, Connecticut. In 2018, the NAD Conference will help close the year long celebration for the American School for the Deaf (ASD)'s 200th Anniversary. Third, the National Black Deaf Advocates (NBDA) President Tim Albert and I discussed some possible ideas to do together. We're both very excited to get started. These ideas will include other organizations as well. And finally, the last point I wanted to discuss today -- several of you have asked how to work with the local law enforcement, fire departments, EMTs, and other safety personnel. I encourage people to work together -- introduce yourself and maybe see if they have any local programs you can join. Relationship building is key to starting dialogue. Thank you!

Video fades to a soft white background with several different font types showing "NAD" very quickly. Copyright video ends with the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) logo centered. Blue text below the logo appears, "A production of the National Association of the Deaf (copyright) 2016 All Rights Reserved".
